Select to Enlarge‘Back to the Drive In’ - Saturday 27th February 2010

Remember going to the Drive In back in the 50’s & 60’s when the whole family piled into the family wagon and went along, kids in pajamas playing on the swings and slides, hanging the speaker on the car’s window, carrying dinner from the restaurant’s ‘healthy’ menu back to your car, when ‘movies’ were ‘pictures’ and the night’s program started with cartoons?
Well they might not hang the speaker from your car’s window anymore but with the help of the good folks at the Dromana Drive In, Let’s Go Cruisin’ aims to take a step back in time with our ‘Back to the Drive In’ cruise in every other way. The Dromana Drive In has been continuously operating since starting back in 1963, so where better to relive the fun of taking the whole family to the Drive In when it was the hottest family night out in town.
Like all LGC events, only pre ’75 street rods, customs, muscle and chrome bumper classics will be admitted as participating entrants. LGC Cruiser members without a pre’75 car available for this night should read their exemption at the bottom of this page.
